For your ideal stay
La Petite Maison Gite is the first gite we restored in the pretty Loire riverside village of Treves near Saumur. It is our option for those who prefer to self cater. La Petite Maison is a cosy simple gite just for two with outside dining under a covered veranda. We have been welcoming happy guests to La Petite Maison since 2007. Dogs are welcome too and there are some great countryside or beach walks when the river is low.

Traveling is easy and enjoyable when you stay at Loire River Cottages. We make sure you have a welcoming space waiting for you, all set to serve as your home base during your trip. All you have to do is step inside, set down your bags and start relaxing. La Maison du Passeur is our newly renovated self catering cottage for 2-4 persons comprises of 2 double bedrooms and a shower room. New for 2024. It's a great location for two or four people, has an enclosed garden and is very dog friendly.

La Petite Maison - Comprising of an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen & dining area with direct access onto a veranda for outside dining during the warmer months. Plus there is a woodburner to keep you cosy during the colder months.
If you fancy cooking then the kitchen is fitted with modern appliances. There is a Smeg oven, Gorenje fridge and butlers sink. However there are plenty of local restaurants close by and the local tabacs and bars serve a great cold beer or glass of wine.
Situated between Saumur and Angers and yet a peaceful location for exploring the Loire Valley. The river is only a short stroll away from the cottage. Take the opportunity to visit the Church of Treves and see the remarkable Tower which dominates the village. Or walk up through the troglodyte village into the countryside for a picnic. Caneoing and river trips available and bikes are included in the rental as the cottage is directly on the Loire à Vélo cycling route so what can be easier.

La Maison du Passeur - An open plan living area with breakfast bar opening onto a kitchen with Smeg oven, Smeg fridge and butlers sink. A glass veranda with views over the garden which offers outside dining and a covered shelter for shade. Comfy beds and armchairs with original art in all rooms adds to the quirky nature of this property.
Directly on the Loire A Vélo bike route with bikes available to cycle to Saumur and the Sparkling Wineries of St Hilaire St Florent. The Loire river is at the end of the impasse and dogs are welcome in the enclosed gardens. Beach walks and picnics are a must when the river is low. Lots of restaurants and sight seeing close by make for a perfect holiday in the Loire Valley village of Treves.
Situated between the town of Saumur and the city of Angers there are plenty of sight seeing opportunities in the local Loire vilages along the river.

We really enjoyed this spacious, tastefully decorated and comfortable cottage. We didn't want to leave it. Very well furnished. All possible information was available. Great base for visiting the whole town recommended by Micaela. Close to the major towns of Anger, Saumur, etc. We particularly like the size of the living room and bedroom.

The house is beautiful; it has lots of space and is delightfully decorated and furnished. The kitchen is really well equipped, allowing us to cook. The wine left for us was welcoming. It was great to have the covered verandah for outdoor space, even in poor weather. We used the bikes on the first day and there is so much to see in this part of the Loire that we will have to return! Thank you Micaela, we had a great stay and would recommend this house highly.
